Worship and prayer

Worship and prayer

As we worship at Smithy Bridge we seek to involve and be open to everyone, with a mix of styles and a willingness to try new ways to praise our God; to let the Holy Spirit work in us as Christian people in our neighbourhood.

What is worship? It is more than just praising God on a Sunday morning. It is everything we do to let God be where he belongs, as Lord of our lives.

Worship with a difference

We are looking at new ways of worshipping our God. We meet as God’s people at 11am each Sunday to bring our praise and worship, to meet with God in prayer and to learn more about him through preaching and teaching. After its success in summer 2021, we will use the Bridge Centre patio for worship in summer months, weather permitting! Look out on our News and Events page for details of dates.

Every third Sunday our worship is aimed especially towards families, with more relaxed activities for children. Our Junior Church is open again post-pandemic for children’s activities in separate rooms during our morning worship.
